AN MDZS TAROT PROJECT
Welcome to the tarot card project: Song of Clarity! We are a collective of artists and fans directing the production of a tarot deck based on Mo Xiang Tong Xiu’s novel, Mo Dao Zu Shi.This deck is inspired by the Gusu Lan Sect’s musical cultivation score “Song of Clarity,” which embodies some of the same intentions we believe can be applied to the art of tarot. We’ve come together aiming to create a deck that not only unites the wonder and beauty of tarot with the story of Mo Dao Zu Shi, but also brings together an artistic team showcasing the incredible creative diversity and talents of others who share our love and passion for the novel.We are delighted to have you along on our journey with this project and are excited to share our vision with you!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How much will the deck cost?
the deck costs $26 USD plus an additional shipping fee, which will vary depending on where you live.
how much will shipping cost?
for the united states, shipping ranges from $9.25 to $11.50 depending on where in the country as it’s a small package. Most of the international shipping is around $22-40. these are all the current estimated costs, and are subject to change!
will there be merch bundles available for purchase?
no, the mod team made the decision early on to not include any additional merchandise other than the deck itself.
How long will pre-orders be open?
pre-orders will stay open for just over two weeks until august 2nd, 2023, or while supplies last. both individually and in group orders, the decks will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.
will the deck be available to purchase after pre-orders?
there are no current plans for any additional orders, but if there is enough demand we will consider an extension of this run.
how many decks can i order?
we are limiting decks to three per person. group orders have already been finalized.
when will we receive the decks/when will production be finished?
when we receive the decks and ship them out depends on the manufacturer's schedule. when each individual receives their deck will also depends on where they live. we will keep you guys updated every step of the way!
will you ship to my country?
All packages will be shipped through USPS (United States Postal Service). Due to current USPS service restrictions, we are currently unable to ship to the following countries: Afghanistan, Belarus, Bhutan, Cayman Islands, Chad, China, Cuba, Laos, Libya, Mongolia, Papua New Guinea, Russia, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Somalia, South Sudan, Syria, Timor-Leste, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Yemen.
Is this project for profit? Will artists recieve compensation?
This is a strictly P4P project. P4P, or pay for production, means the customers only pay the costs it takes to manufacture and ship the product. MXTX fanworks have to be p4p due to a statement released by JJWXC, the site the original novels were published on. Artists who participate in this project - or any mxtx fan project- will not be paid money as compensation. Our artists will receive a completed deck for free as compensation.We will be doing everything in our power to make as little profit as possible, and any money we do end up having left over after production and shipping (as is inevitable) will be donated and/or tipped to mxtx after all decks have been shipped. As per a statement made by mxtx, any donations will not be made in her name.
Will this project be nsfw?
No. This is a strictly sfw project. This applies to hardcore gore and sexual content.
Do you have a cultural consultant on your team?
Yes! We are allowing our cultural consultants to remain anonymous for their own comfort and safety, but we are developing a small team of cultural consultants for our project.
Will you allow groups/couples on the cards?
While we encourage variety, we will be allowing variations of characters as well as multiple characters on one card. as for non-canon couples, we will examine it on a case-by-case basis. We also encourage non-character environments and illustrations.
